Electric

The type of electric garage heater you choose should depend on the type of space you are using it in. Is the space insulated or draft? How big is the space? Do you want to permanently add a heater or using something portable?

While electric heaters aren’t the cheapest to run, they are certainly easier to install and more widely compatible than any other heating type. Forced air heaters work great in well-insulated spaces, while radiative infrared heaters are more efficient in a drafty room.

Even small space heaters could do the trick in areas where the temperature never falls too far below freezing. In colder areas a heater with a much higher BTU rating would be necessary to shake off the cold.

Below you’ll find our favorite models suited for a variety of applications.
